It was suggested to me that I start doing monthly favorite posts. I welcomed the suggestion, since I myself like favorites posts and videos by other bloggers. (I may even start doing Monthly Favorite videos on YouTube, but I haven’t posted any videos in over a year.) Here are the categories I decided on. I can’t promise that I won’t ever switch them up though. If you have any other suggestions, leave a comment!

Accessory

I couldn’t decide on only one favorite accessory for August because I have two super summery Betsey Johnson necklaces that I have been wanting to wear every day. (Don’t worry I don’t wear them every day.) It makes me sad that soon these beauties will sit in my jewelry box until next year.

Beauty

I’ve been meaning to review Nars Orgasm and just haven’t managed to yet. I found myself reaching for this a lot this month. It’s a great blush year round, but I especially love it for summer. It’s a peachy pink with golden shimmer.

This month I also fell in love with the length that Better Than Sex gives my lashes. I have stepped away from the water-proof mascara and have been using this almost every day. Yes, Orgasm and Better Than Sex makes it seem like my mind is in the gutter…

If you have oily skin then you need to meet De Slick from Urban Decay. Between the heat and my skin doing what it does, this product has come in handy. I also just emptied this XL bottle this week.

Body

Skintimate Shave Gel isn’t something I would typically review, which makes it even more fun to include in my first “Favorites” post! Shaving is an annoying part of life, but some shave gels can make it slightly more enjoyable. This Strawberry Tangerine scent is delicious and summery.

Nail polish is a beauty/body product so categorize it wherever you like. My favorite nail polish of this month literally has no brand name and I don’t know where you can purchase it (Sorry! It was a gift from my son.) It’s not long-lasting, BUT it’s pink, glittery and scented! The best way to describe this polish (and the reason I like it) is that it smells like the 80’s. Or 90’s. It smells like a plastic strawberry childhood toy. Picture a scented Strawberry Shortcake or  Care Bear.

Food

Slightly embarrassing, but I cannot stop eating Crunchy Cheetos this month. Soooo good!

Hair

I just reviewed Beach Babe last week. It’s the perfect summer hair product and I’ve been using it often.

Scent

This is heaven in a bottle for the cost of only $4.99 at CVS. I am in love with this stuff! If you don’t like sweet candy scents, then you won’t this like body spray.
