Benefit Fake Up

Benefit's new concealer Fakeup

Benefit is one of my favorite cosmetics companies and I use their boi-ing concealer everyday. I was super excited to try out their new Fake Up and decided to compare their three concealers in one review.

Benefit is one of my favorite cosmetics companies.  Their Boi-ing concealer is my absolute favorite concealer and I use it every single day. When I heard they were coming out with a new moisturizing concealer, I was excited to try it.

I could just review the new Fake Up concealer, however since I have Benefit’s other concealers I might as well do a 3-in-1 review. So, here you go!

Benefit concealers

Boi-ing is what I use every day to hide my dark circles. This industrial strength concealer provides full coverage. It comes in a round, pan-like container.

Fakeup is brand new. It’s double-duty formula provides hydration while concealing. This product looks like lipstick.

Erase paste is a creamy brightening formula that comes in a pink pot.

3 Benefit concealers

Boi-ing is available in 5 shades and costs $20. (It used to cost $18, they keep raising the price.)

Fakeup is available in 3 shades and costs $24.

Erase paste is also available in 3 shades and sells for $26.

More about Fakeup…

The newest addition to the Benefit arsenal, fakeup, is a unique concealer. It looks a lot like a lipstick. The concealer is in the core with a hydrating ring around it. “This hydrating crease-control concealer – with Vitamin E & apple seed extract – hides dark circles & diffuses fine lines for a silky smooth, ultra-natural look.”

I do like this concealer. It does hydrate and conceal as claimed. It also goes on really smoothly and feels lightweight. However,  it’s marketed as crease-control and I feel like all concealer can crease under your eye. So, I’m not sure why Benefit seems to be stressing that claim so much. Out of all concealers I’ve tried, Benefit’s concealers do crease less than most, so I’ll give them that.

As a busy mom with pale skin, I always have dark circles under my eyes. If you need a lightweight, light coverage concealer than I would highly recommend this. The skin under the eye is sensitive and the hydration this product provides is fantastic. I personally still like boi-ing the best for my needs. What I’ve been doing lately is a putting on a little bit of fakeup before I apply my foundation and then dab on boi-ing after my foundation for extra coverage.

Champion vs. Champion vs. Champion…

Benefit concealer swatches

Swatches from left to right: Boi-ing, Fakeup, Erase paste.

These are the lightest (1) shades of each product. Boi-ing blends in with my skin the best. Fakeup is lighter and more moist looking, since it has the hydrating ring. Erase paste is my least favorite because the pink-melon color doesn’t really go with my skin tone. However, for someone with a different skin tone, it might be great.

Be sure to check out more Benefit  products. Their blushes are amazing!

What do you think of Fakeup? What concealer is your favorite?
