Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer

BenefitPrimerReview

If you follow my blog at all then you know how much I love Benefit cosmetics. Unfortunately, I didn't fall in love with their new primer. Found out why here.

I love Benefit Cosmetics (especially Boi-ing and Watt’s Up) and was excited when I found out they released a new primer. While the polka dot packaging is super cute, I don’t think it will help your makeup last the claimed 15 hours.

If you test this Benefit product in the store on your hand, it does make your skin feel really smooth. It felt heavier when I applied it to my face though. When using this primer you have to apply it to one area of your face at a time and immediately blend your foundation in with it. It’s tacky and if you don’t do this, your makeup will be a mess. I felt like at my hairline it was too sticky and stuck to all my little flyaway hairs. The main reason why I don’t like this product is the heavy, sticky feeling it left on my face even after my foundation.

I feel like the Stay Flawless primer was only tested with Stay Flawless foundation, which I do own. However, when I used this 15 hour primer with my Studio Gear foundation it got cakey on my nose and around my eye brows. I even tried to apply less primer the next time I used it, but still didn’t love it. I didn’t notice that it made my makeup last any longer than it usually does.

Overall Thoughts: I didn’t like Benefit’s Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer better than their The Pore-fessional primer or Laura Geller primers, so I ended up returning it and getting my $32 back.
