I know everybody does these Fashion Police-esque blog posts about the best and worst dressed of each award show. If you’re already sick of them, sorry! If not, enjoy my opinions which I’ve noticed are a little different than what I saw on other blogs.

Black & White

I was almost excited to see a black and white trend at the Golden Globes…until I realized I didn’t actually love any of the dresses (or shirts?)

Laura Carmichael, Jennifer Lawrence, and Julia Roberts were so close, yet so far away. With a few minor changes to these ensembles, they would have looked so much better.

Non-fashion note:  I adore Jennifer Lawrence and her performance in American Hustle is flawless. Congrats to her on her win! It’s a must-see film!

Who did Black & White right?

The ‘Unique’

These don’t make me sick, but they don’t make my jaw drop either. Meh. Points for being different.
Lupita Nyong’o wore a cape. Sandra Bullock wore um…color-blocking. Emma Watson wore pants.

The Bad

Aubrey Plaza looks like she’s going to Prom, but I looked better at my prom 7 years ago.

I hate Hayden Panettiere‘s dress choice. It looks like a handkerchief top from the 90’s and it certainly doesn’t flatter her golden globes.

Jemima Kirke looks awful and like she doesn’t own Spanx. She either needs to hire a stylist or fire hers.

The Fabulous

Kelly Osbourne from Fashion Police looked great! She’s worked hard to have a rocking body and it shows in this dress. It also doesn’t seem out of character for her.

I’m in love with Maria Menounos‘ gown! *gasp* I feel like this is exactly what I would wear if I were a celebrity attending the Golden Globes. She is my very very close runner-up for Best Dressed.

Kate Beckinsale is my pick for Best Dressed! She’s gorgeous, her body is ridiculous, and this dress looks amazing on her! The dress is tailored nicely and she kept the jewelry simple. Fabulous! This gown reminds me of a classy yet edgy mermaid (in the best way possible.)
