I know I’ve been doing indie and high end cosmetics reviews lately, so here’s a drug store one. I’m not a huge fan of drug store foundations and eye shadows, however lip glosses and mascaras are a different story. I especially like Maybelline products, so I decided to try the new Color Whisper lip colors.
I originally bought two and liked them so I decided to purchase two more. This Maybelline product is available in 20 different colors.
I really like these because they’re in between a lip stick and a lip gloss. Maybelline Color Whisper lip colors are a gel. They glide on like lipstick, but have the shiny glossy finish of a lip gloss. I tried to pick out colors that were different from what I already have.

You can see in the swatches how shiny the colors look. These are really moisterizng, but not sticky or heavy feeling. Like I said, I only bought two at first and went back for more. Color Whispers are pigmented and provide nice color while still being glossy.
These run about $7-8 dollars. If that is still too much for you, keep an eye out for deals like Buy One Get One 50% Off or shop at CVS and use/earn extra bucks.

Almost bought them, but since they were in a lipstick dispenser I purchased the Maybelline Super Stay 10 Hour Stain Gloss instead. I love lip gloss. I never tried Maybelline lip products before but since your review highly recommended them I gave one of their products a try. I was not disappointed. This is suppose to be their first stain gloss and it is light weight and long lasting. The color goes on dark at first and fades a bit, but it’s longer lasting than regular lip gloss. Thanks for the recommendation.
