I’m trying to keep my promise by providing more drug store/affordable cosmetics reviews. When I’m in stores, like CVS, I tend to gravitate towards Maybelline because it’s typically a brand that doesn’t disappoint me.

I can’t quite get enough of bold lips right now and Color Sensational Vivids claim to offer a bold lip at an affordable price of about $6-$8 each (depending on the store/website.)

Vivids Packaging

The packaging is slightly disappointing because all of the tubes look the same red despite what the lip colors actually are. There’s no branding at all which I find odd. I like the Color Whispers packaging better. I’ve also noticed that Maybelline lipsticks don’t have tamper seals, so I opened these up in the store to make sure they looked like they had never been used.

Although the tubes may look the same, I did purchase 2 different colors.

Vivids Swatches

I’m impressed with the color payoff that Vivids have. Cheaper products aren’t usually so pigmented. You can get hours out of one application and they’re not super drying. Not loving the 2 shades I purchased? There’s 8 more to choose from including red, orange, and berry.
