I first heard about magnetic nail polish some time ago, but it was a little too expensive so I never bought it. When my favorite nail polish company came out with it, I decided it was time to try out this trend.

Not only did China Glaze jump on board with this trend, they improved it by coming out with a magnet that makes 3 different designs!

Magnetix comes is a few different colors, none of which are very bright so I purchased the purple called Drawn To You.

Magnetix nail polish costs $10 and the magnet costs $10 also. The magnet actually has 3 different magnets on it so you can choose between 3 designs, or do a multiple design manicure.

The magnet has little curved pieces that rest on your finger so you don’t smudge the polish when wet.

Overall Thoughts:

This nail polish dries SUPER fast, which I love! The designs are neat, and no nail ever turns out exactly the same.

I had a couple issues where the designs were kind of off to one side of my nail because of how I held the magnet, I guess. I also had to re-do a couple nails because there was only a design down the center of my nail, not across the entire nail. I think it all depends on how you hold the magnet and it’s probably best to hold it as still as possible.

The whole Magnetix process takes only ONE coat and you only have to hold the magnet over the polish for 5-10 seconds. No waiting forever and doing multiple coats with this polish!

I purchased Magnetix at my local Ulta, you should be able to find it anywhere that sells China Glaze products.

China Glaze has already announced their Magnetix II collection which will be part of their summer line. There will be a new magnet with 3 different designs. The new nail polish colors also look brighter!
