A couple weeks ago, I saw Stila’s Countless Color Pigments somewhere online or in a magazine. Then, when I received my Ulta ad catalog I saw them again and knew I wanted them. I don’t own any type of tie-dye eyeshadow nor do I think other companies make them, so these really caught my attention.

Stila’s Countless Color Pigments are part of the Festival of Color Summer 2013 collection which also includes lip color and liquid eye liners.

I had a hard time choosing which shades to get, but ended up getting Center Stage and Lyric.

Countless Color Pigments packaging

The packaging shows the ombre effect that these eyeshadows have, but because of this design no two are ever the same.

Stila Center Stage & Lyric
Center Stage is hot pink and Lyric is a neon orange.

"Center Stage" and "Lyric"

I like that all of the Countless Color Pigments have music inspired names.

Countless Color

I’m now realizing I got the two that are probably the most similar/most pink. I probably should have gone for a little more variety.

Countless color tie dyes

So, how exactly do you use these? Well you can use the colors individually or swipe them together, or just two together. You can play with these and do whatever you’d like hence their “Countless Color” name.

Center Stage

I really like Center Stage because it’s a nice array of colors in one. While each and every one is different. Mine has at least 4 colors.

Center Stage swatches

As you can see in my swatches, with Center Stage you can get pink, orange, purple, blue and combine them all together for a pretty  color that I swathed on the right.

Lyric

Lyric is pretty and pastel, but I don’t like it as much as Center Stage. This one really only has 3 colors, 2 of which are pink. Since I bought Center Stage which has pink and orange, I’m actually debating returning this one to Ulta to get one that has greens or browns.

Lyric has a pastel pink, pale peachy-orange, and a brighter pink. When I sweep them all together, it also turns out pink.

Stila-Countless-Color-Pigments

Stila Countless Color Pigments are available in 10 shades. I wish these weren’t $22 each, so I could try more of them. I like Light Show and Acoustic which are the green and red ones shown on the right.

Which ones would you purchase?
