Revolution Lipstick

 Urban Decay Badass Lipstick

I like the packaging of these lipsticks. They aren’t really heavy, but they are heavier than your average lipstick that comes in plastic tubes. These seem more durable. Urban Decay calls this lipstick Bad Ass and I feel like the packaging reflects that.

Urban Decay Lipstick Review

It was really difficult to choose between the 22 shades. While all the Revolution shades are pigment-rich, I decided on ones that were a little brighter and bolder because I don’t see paying $22 for a lipstick that doesn’t stand out. They do offer some nice nudes and lighter colors.

 UrbanDecay69

69 is a bright red with pink undertone. I like this color. It has more of a pink tone than Lime Crime’s Retrofuturist which is my go-to red lipstick.

 Urban Decay Bang

Bang is in the orange family. While I like it, I don’t know that I love it on me. It’s a little too dark. I prefer orange lipsticks more like Sounds Like Noise from Mac’s Hayley Williams Collection.

UD Revolution Swatches

Overall Urban Decay’s new Revolution Lipsticks are great. They go on smoothly with fantastic color payoff. They are not drying and definitely long-lasting. I also love that Urban Decay offers matching lip pencils that share the same names as the lipsticks so you can get the perfect match. I’d like to try Ozone which is actually a clear lip pencil that helps prevent feathering.

The price is definitely their downside. I purchased them when I had an Ulta coupon. The one good thing about purchasing these is Urban Decay’s LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT GUARANTEE. It’s risk-free to try them out. Stores like Ulta and Sephora also have return policies. I’ll probably return Bang because I feel like it’s just not right for my skin tone and hair color.
