Paper Vs. Glue

Alice In Wonderland top

This blog post is a little different for me as it's not a beauty review, but I'm very excited to be sharing a sneak peek of a shop that offers one of a kind items for a good cause!

A few months ago, my boyfriend introduced me to one of his best friends Sam. It just happens that I was meeting this lovely lady at a benefit organized for her. Sam has Behcets, a rare autoimmune disease, and has also been diagnosed with Conversion Disorder. Despite being wheelchair bound, this beautiful woman has a great sense of humor, remains super fashionable, and has been using her creativity to keep busy.

Using irreparable books, old magazines, fabric, and glue, she turns ordinary cigar boxes into fabulous one of a kind boxes! Sam has just launched her own website, Paper Vs. Glue, where you will soon be able to purchase these masterpieces.

My amazing boyfriend, James, won me one of Sam’s creations in a raffle at her benefit. As soon as I saw this Alice in Wonderland box I loved it! The only way to show you the pure awesomeness of Paper Vs. Glue boxes is with lots of photos…

Not completely in love yet? That’s just the outside of the box and Sam goes all out with her little works of art.

Paper vs Glue Alice

Maybe Alice in Wonderland isn’t your cup of tea, but don’t worry. Paper Vs. Glue will offer other Children’s Book boxes, Sheet Music boxes, Retro boxes, and Comic book boxes!

Paper Vs Glue Beauty Box

It took me awhile to decide what to use my cigar box for, but it now happily houses my beauty samples. I’m sure many of my readers could use a box like this on their vanity for holding samples. You could also use one as a pencil box on your desk, for loose change instead of an ugly jar, or for hiding remotes on your coffee table. Not only do decorative boxes make personalized and unique gifts, they can be used for jewelry, recipe cards, storing photos, and more.

I highly suggest purchasing one of these beauties by keeping an eye on Paper Vs. Glue. If you’d like to learn more about Sam or give a generous donation to help with her medical bills, visit her page here.
