NYX Macaron Lippies
NYX's new Macaron Lippies aren't for the faint of heart. This collection offers a rainbow of pastel and neon colors. Not sure if these are for you? Check out my swatches!

I’ve never ventured very far into unusual lip colors, but when I saw NYX’s new Macaron Lippies I decided, why not give it a try?
NYX says “Fantasize in color with our neon and pastel lippies in 12 of the creamiest shades you’ll ever use.” I ordered half of the collection from Ulta.com and received them in only 3 days (yay for fast shipping!) While these sell for around $5.99 each, Ulta had their BOGO 50% off promotion plus I had a $6 reward!
The packaging is nothing special, just the usual NYX lipstick twist tube. However, I do like that the Macaron Lippies have a clear section which allows you to easily grab the color you’re looking for.
Look at these pretty colors! The neon and pastel lipsticks may not be for your every day look, but they’re certainly fun.
Velvet Blue is an electric blue.
Earl Gray is a powder blue.
Lavender is, you guessed it, lavender.
Rose is a lavender pink.
Citron is a yellow shade.
Key Lime is a lime green.
When swatched the Macaron Lippies are pretty much what you’d expect; pigmented and with a satin matte finish. I think Earl Grey, Lavender and Rose are my favorites.
I really wanted to try Pistachio which is a mint, but it is already sold out online. I’ll try to get my hands on it when the Macaron Lippies hit store shelves around June 8th. The other colors from this collection that I didn’t purchase are white, black, light gray, orange, and violet.
The one claim that I don’t think these meet are that they have long-wearing resilience. These easily wipe off your lips. They’re not even close to being as long wearing as my Lime Crime lipsticks.
