I was on vacation when my Birchbox arrived so I apologize that this is a few days late.

To finish out the summer, August’s theme is Lighten Up. “Here’s to keeping cool and laughing our way into fall.”

I opened my Birchbox up to see Neil George Shampoo and Conditioner. These samples are kind of a bummer because, well, shampoo and conditioner just aren’t all that exciting to me. Plus, this counted as two samples so my August box seemed kind of empty.

The little folded box inside was cute this month. It says “Tee-Hee” on one side in yellow and on the other side in blue. Inside of it were two samples…

Catherine Malandrino’s Style de Paris Fragrance is the designer’s first scent. While it smells good and has a nice combination of fruit and floral, the full-size one costs $110 which is a little too expensive for me.

I also received Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow. I’ll probably use this BB cream as a primer because it seems a little to0 dark and shimmery to provide the coverage I like.

The last item I received was ModelCo Shimmer Bronzer. I have so many bronzers right now but I do like ModelCo products and will try this out.

I was slightly disappointed in this month’s box. What did you think?
