Benefit is one of my favorite cosmetics companies. They make a product that I use everyday, Boi-ing concealer. I use it everyday because I have dark circles that make me look like a zombie. So, even if I don’t plan on wearing much makeup, I use my Benefit Boi-ing concealer.

When Benefit came out with their new skincare line b.right, I was excited to try the products. When I saw they had an eye cream that was supposed to get rid of dark circles, I decided I had to try it. If it worked, I wouldn’t have to use my Boi-ing every day, I wouldn’t look like a zombie anymore. So, did it work?

Before I get to the results, I’ll discuss packaging and the product. It’s Potent! comes in a cute little box that is sealed. I like the packaging of the b.right line.

The eye cream comes in a little glass jar, the lid looks like cork. The jar is pretty small, but a little eye cream goes a long way.

Inside the box, there is also a little booklet. It has a description/instructions in a bunch of different languages. The following picture explains what they eye creams does and how. You can click on it to view it larger, I won’t get into all the details, you can just read it.

This next picture is a continuation of the first page and also has instructions. Actually, there is a lack of instructions. Some people might not know how to put eye cream on properly. (You’re supposed to gently pat it on, not rub or pull the skin.) So, I thought they should have included a little bit more than just “Apply delicatley under the eyes.”

The eye cream itself is a creamy, off-white color. It has a nice texture/consistency. Like I previously said, a little goes a long way. I’ve had this eye cream for atleast 3 months and have used it quite a bit, and as you can see in the picture there is still quite a bit left. This didn’t burn my under eye area like other products I used did, so that is a plus. It does moisturize the under eye area too.

DOES IT WORK???

I’ve heard people say this got rid of their dark circles, but I still have mine. I like Benefit and I really wanted this eye cream to work, but I used it every day for weeks and weeks and I still have my really bad dark circles. I once heard that experts say skincare products can take up to 6 months to work. I’m not sure if that’s accurate. I waited 3 months to review this because I wanted to give it a chance to work, but no luck for me.

This costs $32, which is a lot for something that hasn’t worked. I normally would never spend that much on an eye cream, but I’m sick of having dark circles and I thought in the long run it would be cheaper because if it worked, I wouldn’t need to buy $18 concealer every couple months.

Every body has different skin, so maybe this does work for other people, but I’m just being honest, it didn’t work for me. Maybe my dark circles are caused my stress or genetics or something that an eye cream can’t fix? This product does have pretty good reviews online.

Since it’s too late to return it, I’ll probably use it until it’s gone. It doesn’t get rid of my dark circles, but I figure eye cream is better than no eye cream? It does moisturize so maybe it will help me prevent wrinkles.
