My long overdue review/swatches of eyeshadows from the indie company, Dawn Eyes Cosmetics.

Back in September, I ordered a Reviewer sample pack from Dawn Eyes Cosmetics. I need to apologize that it’s taken me so long to do this review. I’m actually mad at myself because I love these eyeshadows and should have been spreading the word about them for months now!

I ordered 10 sample baggies for $5 and the owner, Dawn, was even nice enough to include 2 free samples! This deal is only for legitimate reviewers/bloggers, but don’t worry she sells samples to everyone for only $1! Most companies sell samples for that price and some don’t sell samples at all, so it’s definitely a good deal if you want to try out colors before committing to full size.

The sample baggies were split up into two bigger baggies. They came with a business card and a receipt with a hand-written “thank you.” I received my order quickly.

I did swatches of the 12 colors I got, but I have to say that they don’t do them justice, these eyeshadows are shimmery and glittery goodness! I did NOT swatch these over primer or anything. They look great on my bare skin, so you can only imagine how good they look when used with a primer or base.

I tried to get some different lighting when doing these, so I’m posting 2 photos of each set.(Click images to view larger.)

Here are the other 6 colors…

The 3 oranges may look the same, but in person you can see a difference. I would say Orange Sherbet is the lightest shade of the 3. Orange Julius is a pretty medium orange and Day Lily is a brighter orange with sparkles versus the others being shimmery.

If I had to choose only 5 favorites out of these 12, I would choose Softly Purple, Softly Coral, Softly Pink, Bright Pink Sparkle and Champagne Soiree. I do love all the colors though. The only one I probably won’t use is Deep Pink Sparkle because it comes out red and I don’t like red on me. Playoff White is a little hard to see in my photos, but it’s a pretty shimmery white. It would make a great highlight or a good overall color that you can put on quick to really brighten up your eyes.

Will I order from Dawn Eyes Cosmetics again?

That would be a definite, YES! I am very very happy with these eyeshadows. This is one of my new favorite companies and I would love to buy more samples soon, I really want to try out some more of her purples and neutrals.

I also love the website. Dawn has swatches of every color with and without a primer, which it super helpful!!

Check out her website and place an order!

Very nice! I see there is another Dawn Eyes disciple. She is my absolute favorite company. I haven’t been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered, and I use her stuff more than anything else I own!
