This weekend, my son and I wanted to watch Halloween movies and I was bummed at how much effort it took to find some on Netflix. You can select “Halloween Favorites” but you get a mix of adult and kids movies. Under “Just for Kids” there didn’t seem to be any Halloween category. So, to make it easier for you, I have compiled a little list of family-friendly Halloween movies/shows and their ratings.

Spooky Buddies- G

Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman- G

DreamWorks Spooky Stories- TV-PG

DreamWorks Spooky Stories Volume 2- TV-G

ParaNorman- PG

Goosebumps- TV-Y7

Ghostbusters- PG

My soon to be 6 year old son’s personal favorites out of these are the DreamWorks short films, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Ghostbusters. If you pay to get DVDs in the mail you definitely have more options like the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus. Make some popcorn and enjoy Halloween family movie nights during the next few weeks!
