A couple months ago, I decided I should probably spend a little less money on makeup and worry a little more about skincare. I wasn’t sure what to buy and didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a product that I might not like. I found the H2o+ Skincare Must-Haves Set at Ulta for $26 and decided to give it a try.

For $26 you get 5 sample/travel size products in a cute plastic bag that has a zipper. Some of these products in the same size can be purchased individually for $9. The following pictures show the front and back of the bag.

The 5 products inside…

The first is Oasis Mist. I haven’t used this that much. It just doesn’t do anything for me. It’s supposed to revive, refresh, soothe, and hydrate skin. I guess this would be good on a really hot day or if you have dry skin. The full-size product costs about $16. Personally, I would much rather buy a reviving/refreshing mist from an indie company for much cheaper.

The Face Oasis Cleansing Water is another item that doesn’t do much for me. There’s nothing wrong with it, I would just prefer other facial cleansers over this one which would cost $24. It’s oil-free and doesn’t dry out my skin, but to me the full-sized one would not be worth $24.

The Dual-Action Eye Makeup Remover is oil-free, but actually feels oily. It takes off my eye makeup, but can’t totally handle my waterproof mascara, although most eye makeup removers don’t fully remove it. This is a decent eye makeup remover, but I’m not sure I like it enough to spend $18 on the full-size one.

I am quite happy with the Marine Toner. I never used to use toner, but this one made me realize the importance of it. This is alcohol free and helps restore your skin’s balance after cleansing. This also helps remove makeup, dirt, and anything that your cleanser missed. I’ve used quite a bit of this toner and in the future I will consider purchasing the full-sized one for $16.

The last item in this set is the Sea Mineral Scrub. I also really like this item. I have plenty of body scrubs, but not everybody makes facial scrubs. This scrub exfoliates, but isn’t harsh on my face. I have combination skin and like that this cleans my skin and get rids of dry patches. My face feels clean, soft, and refreshed after I use this. The full-sized product costs $18 and I will think about purchasing it when I run out of my sample size.

My overall thoughts…

I don’t regret buying this set. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this company before, however some of their products are quite pricey. I love when sets like these are offered. If you are unhappy with your current skincare products and are looking for something new, this is a set you may want to try. If you aren’t interested in this set, H2O+ does have a ton of different products available.

I like the toner and scrub that came in this set. The other products I will use until they’re gone, however I can live without them in the future. I will definitely look into buying other H2O+ products because skincare is important and I’d like to see what other good products they make.

You can purchase this set and other H2O+ products at Ulta.com or your local Ulta store.
