I received blue glitter nail polish strips in my September Birchbox. I’m not a fan of blue nail polish, but I’m going to a University of Rhode Island football game this weekend and their colors are blue, so I figured it would be a good time to have blue nails!

I also decided to try these because my acrylic nails were ready to come off and I didn’t want to get them redone. I only get my nails done because I bit them my whole life and when I grow them out now they just end up breaking. So, I got them done once again until my real nails grew to a decent length. The only problem is when you take acrylic nails off your real nails are rough and ugly looking. I didn’t want to file mine smooth because they are already SOOO thin and fragile. If I tried to paint them, they’d just look awful.

Therefore….these nail polish strips are the perfect way to beautify my real nails as they grow longer and stronger!

The nail polish strips I received are made by a company called Incoco and they are actually called Nail Polish Applique. They come with 12 strips.

I had never used the similar Sally Hansen strips before, but the Incoco ones come with 5 easy steps that include little pictures. The instructions are simple and straight to the point. I didn’t have any issues with applying these.

What are the benefits of using nail polish applique instead of traditional nail polish? With these there is no drying time, no smudging, and no streaks. They can provide you with a perfect manicure in minutes, they’re base, color, and top coats all in each strip, and they allow you to have amazing designs with little effort.

I have no artistic talent and would never be able to make cool designs on my nails. I can’t wait to buy some of the design applique that Incoco sells. Check out this awesome design in the picture below…

So, what do my nails look like after using these?

I’m very happy with the Incoco nail polish applique and plan on ordering two sets of design ones soon. The ones I received in my Birchbox came with a code for 10% off and free shipping! I’m not sure what the name of the color I received is because I can’t find it on the website. It looks like the glitter ones sell for $10.99, so these were worth the $10 my Birchbox cost.

If you don’t like glitter or designs Incoco has a lot of different options. You can just get simple color strips, french manicure or color tip ones.

You can purchase these from Incoco.com.
