When I finally ordered Lime Crime lipsticks I also decided to get a Uniliner in the gorgeous shade, Orchidaceous.

UPDATE March 2015: I no longer support this company and can no longer recommend their products to anyone. I will simply say they had a poorly handled data breach that has left some customers is financial ruin.

When I decided to finally order Lime Crime lipsticks, I figured I’d get a Uniliner too. Uniliner is liquid eyeliner, named with Lime Crime’s unicorn theme in mind.

Uniliner

Lime Crime’s Uniliners are all unique colors, brighter than the liquid eyeliners that most cosmetics companies offer. It was difficult to decide which color to get, but I always loved how purple liner looks with my brown eyes, so I purchased Orchidaceous. This isn’t the first purple eyeliner I’ve purchased. However, it’s the first one that isn’t dark and that can’t easily be mistaken for black eyeliner.

The packaging is simple and cute. I like that the brush is thin. I have no problems controlling the brush while applying Uniliner. The brush allows you to apply a thin line of liner, or make it a little thicker for more dramatic looks. Not bristles come loose or fall out and ruin your makeup, I’ve had that happen with cheap liquid eyeliners.

I love Orchidaceous. It’s such a pretty, bright violet without being over the top.  It looks great with various eyeshadow colors. You can use it with light purples and lavenders or greens. It’s also great for adding a pop of color to a neutral eye look. Make your neutral office look a little more edgy or be a little festive and springy with Orchidaceous.

Uniliner isn’t waterproof, but it is pretty long-lasting. It lasts a whole work day for me. The only downside is that is costs 13.99. If you typically buy high-end makeup, then you probably don’t care. However, if you purchase drug store cosmetics, this is probably double what you would want to spend. Overall, I do recommend checking this product out.

I think I definitely want to order some other Uniliner colors from Lime Crime in the future.
