Madd Style Cosmetics Review

MSCphoto

A review on yet another indie eyeshadow company. The five colors I review in this post are shimmery and on the lighter side.

Madd Style Cosmetics is based in Wisconsin. All their pigments are vegan and cruelty free. They have all kinds of colors, mattes and shimmers.

Madd Style has cute packaging. The top of the jars have sparkly zebra print with “MSC” in pink and their pink diamond crossbones logo. No other indie company I have purchased from had sparkly stickers on their jars.

I bought these 5 jars for $20. I purchased them awhile ago so I think there was some kind of percentage off too. Jars cost $5 individually and every week Madd Style has a color of the week for only $3. As you can see the colors I got were Strange Potion, IceCream DayDream, Shiva, Pisces, and Lotus Bloom.

I love Strange Potion because I’m obsessed with orange/pink eyeshadows. This is an orange with pink duochrome. It’s beautiful. I foiled this color and it looked amazing. The foiling medium really brought out the pink in it, however it didn’t show up that way in my photo.

IceCream DayDream is a light and shimmery “icing” pink. It’s beautiful. It’s a nice light color to make your eyes pop and look more awake.

Shiva is a periwinkle. It’s another light and super shimmery color. Really pretty.

Pisces is a neat color. It looks like a silvery green color, but it also has gold duochrome. It’s a really unique color.

I really love Lotus Bloom too. It’s sea foam green with aqua duochrome, so pretty!

If you buy from Madd Style they won’t look like this, they do come with sifters.

I love these eyeshadows and my swatches do not do them justice, so I’m only posting one swatch photo. I tried different lighting and nothing worked. My swatches show from top to bottom, IceCream DayDream, Strange Potion, Shiva, Lotus Bloom, and Pisces. On the left is over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, on the right is using My Beauty Addiction’s foiling medium.

On Madd Style’s Facebook and Artfire they have good swatches. I’d say their photos look like the eyeshadows do in person. Their shipping wasn’t the fastest, but it was definitely reasonable.

I paid for these eyeshadows with my own money and I have no affiliation with Madd Style, I honestly think my swatches don’t do them justice. You can purchase Madd Style on Artfire.

On a secondary note, I know I have liked all the eyeshadows I reviewed so far, but that is because I research before buying from indie companies. Therefore, I have yet to have any bad experiences. I know what eyeshadows I like on myself and I’m good at picking out what I like. Not everybody may like the same colors as me, especially if you have a different skin tone or eye color than me. Also, my blog is new so I wanted to share my favorite indie companies. When I like something I want to tell others so they can share in the shimmery amazing-ness of indie eyeshadows.

I have the EXACT same problem and i would not at all cnosider myself to have overly large eyelids. I blame the applicator sponge. Also, I have the only in natural for brunette and unless i press really hard into the shadow then really pack it onto the eye the color has bad payoff. I was all around disappointed as the mother of an active 18 month old I had hopes of this saving some much needed time in my makeup routine oh well.

The company also sells samples sometimes. The deal is 5 samples of 1 gram in a clam shell. One of my favorites is bubble gum crisis.
