I’m a little late on this month’s Birchbox post because I had a 3 day weekend and went to NYC. Nevertheless, I finally got around to unboxing and taking photos. So here we go…

May’s outer box was a springy yellow instead of the usual pink and touts an exclusive Kate Spade offer inside.

This month’s “Freewheeling” theme is about freshness, optimism, and tossing out the rules to take a playful approach to everything.

This first sample which was folded up inside my box is CoTZ Face Natural Skin Tone SPF 40, an oil-free mineral sunscreen. I received this just in time for the sunny weather we’re finally getting in Pennsylvania.

With my color treated hair, I’m always looking for a great shampoo and conditioner. I’ve actually been eying up the Color Assure line in stores recently so I was excited to receive this trio of samples.

This little sample set includes Nexxus Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer, Shampoo, and Conditioner which are supposed to help keep color vibrant for up to twice as long. I’ve never used a hair primer before and I’m curious to see how I like this line of hair products.

The other gem of the May box is a full-size Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm. Despite my love for shopping at Target, Pixi is a brand that I’ve never tried before.

I received the color Coral Crush. This balm is like a lip tint, hydrating lips with shea butter while giving a pretty wash of color.

This little half-sphere sample is a Sumbody Salt Scrub Bonbon which can be purchased in sets of three. It is made with real Pacific sea salt and the scent I got was Jasmine Orange Blossom. I love scrubs and will definitely be using up this sample.

The Lifestyle Extra for May was a Vovito Candle in Azure Garden which is an earthy scent of prairie grass, blueberries, and hyacinth. I love burning candles and this one will be burned up shortly.
