I came across Nikory Bath Treats a couple months ago on Facebook. I saw one of their photos of a cupcake soap that was adorable. I wanted to purchase it, but it wasn’t listed on their Artfire shop. I e-mailed the owner and asked her to let me know if she made it again.

She did make it again and sent it to me for free along with some of her other items. Thank you!!! This review is overdue. I already have a second batch of items to review so I do apologize for not having this up sooner.

PACKAGING:

Everything from Nikory Bath Treats comes packaged nicely. Soaps are sealed in plastic and have a cute sleeve on them. Scrubs are also sealed and then tied in bags. Bubble bars come in cute bags with tags and even the lip balms are sealed.

Ingredients are listed right on the labels or on a tag. Some of the products even have instructions on them.

When I first opened up my package, the soaps were also wrapped in tissue paper with gold stickers that said “Home Made.” I thought that was a really cute touch. The following photos show the packaging of the two soaps I received. (Click on any photos to view larger.)

PRODUCTS, SCENTS, & PRICES:

SOAPS

I’ll start with the cupcake soap. It’s actually called Star Fairy because of the scent. It’s a combination of Lush dupes, Rockstar and Snow Fairy.

The pink part smells like Rockstar and the brown like Snow Fairy. The Rockstar scent is a little more powerful and that’s mostly what I smell, which I don’t mind at all. I LOVE Rockstar. I haven’t used this soap yet because it’s just too cute. I will use it eventually after I’ve used my other Rockstar dupe soaps.

This bar of soap is 6.75 oz. That is a big bar of soap! It even has cute little stars and a butterfly on the top along with glitter. So cute.

I don’t know how much this soap costs and Nikory doesn’t have it right now. This cupcake soap seems to sell out every time she makes it. Keep an eye out for it again in the future, it varies slightly in appearance each time. You could contact the owner of Nikory if you’re interested in a custom listing, for example if you want a bunch of these for gifts.

She also sent me a bar of soap in the scent BFF. This soap is simpler with just brown swirls.

As you can see in the photo it is cut. I cut my soaps into smaller pieces to use them. So, yes I did use this one. It had a nice lather which I assume all the soaps from Nikory Bath Treats do. I would recommend these soaps.

The BFF scent is a “blend of boysenberries, elderberries, strawberries, guava and pomegranate with a down of soft vanilla.” I like this scent. I like fruity scents as well as vanilla, and it’s a nice combination of both. This soap is currently on sale for only $3.00. This bar of soap is 5.5 oz., so $3 is a really good price!

BUBBLE BARS

The owner of Nikory also sent me 2 bubble bars. The first one is in Rockin’ Star (dupe for Rockstar.) This bubble bar is so unique. It’s a glittery face!

I’ve never seen a bubble bar like this before, it’s creative and cute. I did use this bubble bar and it made a lot of bubbles! I’m more of a shower person, but I didn’t mind taking a Rockstar smelling bubble bath. The lips and butterfly eyebrows even dissolved in the water, so you don’t have to worry about taking them off or anything.

The second bubble bar broke while it was being shipped to me. I don’t care because a bubble bar is meant for being crumbled under water anyways.

It’s just a pretty pink and white bubble bar. It’s in the scent Karma-Kazi (Karma dupe.) I have not used this one yet, but I’m sure it makes a ton of bubbles just like the other one did.

These bubble bars are on sale right now for only $2!! If you like to take relaxing bubble baths, then don’t miss out on this great deal!

LIP BALM

I also received a lip balm in the scent/flavor Champagne. It has a sweet/fizzy scent to it and doesn’t smell like alcohol. The ingredients in it are avocado, beeswax, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, illipe butter, mango, shea butter, safflower oil, vitamin E, and colorant.

I’m not really sure what to say about the lip balm. It’s just your typical lip balm. I mostly just wear lip gloss, but I do use lip balm at night before I go to sleep. This is moisturizing and actually a little glossy. It makes my lips feel soft. I know some people are picky about lip balms, but I’m not.

SCRUB

I saved my favorite product for last. The lovely owner of Nikory Bath Treats also sent me a 1 oz. Bubbling Sugar Scrub. I love scrubs, but was surprised when I used this one. Most scrubs smell delicious, and make my skin feel amazingly soft and clean, but this one also has amazing lather!! It’s definitely called “Bubbling Sugar Scrub” for a reason.

I love this scrub and ended up ordering 2 bigger ones when she had a sale. The one pictured is in Honey So Yummy (Honey, I Washed the Kids dupe.) It smells yummy and has great lather. It’s like a soap and scrub in one. I definitely recommend this product. If you want a typical scrub, Nikory also has those for sale. I really like the bubbling kind though.

Nikory has really nice products and affordable prices! So, if you want some indie bath & body products, but are low on money then check out Nikory Bath Treats.

Like I said at the beginning of this review, I already have more stuff from Nikory so I’ll probably have another review up in the near future.

CO. INFO:

You can purchase these products and more in her Artfire shop. Nikory Bath Treats will temporarily be closing, so place your orders now or you will have to wait!

The owner is closing her shop starting September 1st and will reopen on October 1st, 2011. She is moving her work station in her home so she has more room. She will also be working on some new soaps and products such as soy tarts.
