NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Purple

It's been awhile since my last Cosmetics review, so here you go. This review is on the first NYX liquid eyeliner I've ever purchased and includes swatches.

This is a review of my first experience with a NYX Studio Liquid Liner. I’ve tried other NYX products before, but never any of their eyeliners.The Studio Liquid Liner that I purchased comes in various colors.

Why did I decide to get Extreme Purple? I have brown eyes and always loved Almay Intense i-color eyeliner in Purple Amethyst. It was a part of a line meant to enhance eye colors. (It came out years ago, but I think you can still find them.) Purple is a great color for women with brown eyes to wear. So, I bought it.

I’m happy with the way this eyeliner applies. The brush is thin and I was able to use this without struggling to get a nice, straight line. The little bristles haven’t fallen out and the eyeliner isn’t clumpy.

I am also pleased with the color. It’s definitely Extreme Purple when applied, it doesn’t look dull or black. (I notice most purple eyeliners are Plum and pretty much look black when applied.) The following photo shows the color without flash. I did a thick swatch and a thin one. I was easily able to do both.

The following photo is the same swatch, but with flash. As you can see with flash, it does look a little blue-ish purple.

I like this eyeliner and I think the color will actually go with a lot. You can wear it with a neutral eyeshadow, gold, purple, pink, etc. My NYX eyeliner actually went through the wash today and still survived! I would like to try this out in some of the other colors available.

It costs approximately $4.50. I purchased mine at Ulta, but you can find it various places online or anywhere that sells NYX cosmetics.
