Ocean’s Daughter: Mermaid Fashion

Nasty Gal Mermaid dress

Summer is here so why not use mermaid inspiration to look your best?! While you don't want to overdo the sea siren look, here's head to toe items you can choose from to bring out your inner Ariel.

If you haven’t noticed, I’m mermaid obsessed! If you are too, here’s how you can channel your inner Ariel to look like an (ex) Mermaid from head to toe this summer!

Ex Mermaid cap

The Secret Society of Ex Mermaids offers hats, beanies, shirts, and temporary tattoos! Check out my beanie review here.

I own this Sea Excursion Betsey Johnson necklace, but her collections feature various sea life inspired pieces.

Traci Hines’ line Adorkable Apparel offers a mermaid shell crop top in pink and purple for $27.99. There’s a regular Urban Mermaid T-shirt too. Check them out here.

Poprageous Mermaid

Poprageous has an entire Mermaid collection that includes skirts, leggings, dresses, and crop tops in various colors. They’re an alternative to Black Milk who tends to always be sold out.

Nasty Gal Mermaid dress

Want to look like a sexy mermaid for girls’ night after a day at the beach? For $88 you can have Nasty Gal’s Spin Off Dress which is green, textured and has a plunging neckline.

Sequin Shorts

Most sequin shorts are sold out online, but I found these cute ones from Loehmann’s.

You can easily get lost looking on Etsy for Mermaid accessories, but I really like this particular fold over clutch from MomoMadeInNY.

Even DSW has mermaid-esque green multi glitter pumps by Rachel Roy Keedan.

Finally, the best way to look like a gorgeous mermaid is with makeup like Mac’s Alluring Aquatic collection. It’s selling out quickly so check your local store or websites like Macy’s.
