My hair is naturally wavy and kind of frizzy so everyday I have to either straighten or curl it. Using my flat iron only takes a few minutes so that’s what I use most of the time. Between my flat iron and dye for the past 6 years, my hair is damaged.

I’ve always been told to use a heat protecting spray and I’ve tried, but I never like the way they make my hair feel. One day, I was at Ulta looking for a new shampoo & conditioner and thought I might as well look for a protecting spray too. They had a buy one get, one half off deal on Organix products. So, I tried the Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Flat Iron Spray.

Ingredients:

This spray includes cocoa nut oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, keratin proteins, Aloe leaf extract, water, alcohol, and some other ingredients. It is sulfate and sodium free.

What It’s Supposed to Do:

It’s supposed to protect thermal heat damage, strengthen and soften hair, “smooth the cuticle to hold straight, strong tresses, finishing with a brilliant glow and luminescent shine.” When your hair is dry, you spray this on section by section and then simply straighten your hair. It’s says “ever straight” on it, but it can also be used to protect from curling iron damage. This spray is also good to use after you have styled your hair for a smoothing finish.

My Opinion:

I really love this spray. It smells good and you can’t feel it in your hair. I’ve tried other heat protecting sprays including Not Your Mother’s Beat the Heat Thermal Styling Spray, but they almost feel like hair spray. They make my hair feel kind of sticky and like there is product in it. The flat iron spray from Organix makes my hair soft, and I can still easily brush it, style it, and run my fingers through it. I can’t really see it or feel it in my hair. I just see that my hair looks smoother and shinier and my hair feels softer too. It also doesn’t make my hair oily.

My hair doesn’t look totally awful and fried so I would say that it works pretty well. I am happy with this spray and will definitely buy it again. I would also like to try some of the other Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy products, since they all probably work best in conjunction with each other. Everybody has different types of hair, so this my not work the best for you, but I love it.

Where & How Much:

This spray sells for about $7.99. You can purchase is at Ulta, Target, or anywhere that sells Organix products. Organix has a lot of other products in various scents and for different hair purposes.
