Passion Moon Potions Review

Passion Moon Potions on Etsy

Passion Moon Potions is a bath and body company that sells their products on Etsy. This company is based in Kailua-Kona Hawaii. This is my review on three of their products.

I really love that Passion Moon Potions is from Hawaii. Everything is “handmade in paradise.” All the products are handmade and natural. They do not use chemicals and only natural preservatives.

PACKAGING:

The three items I received were mailed in a little bubble envelope. Unfortunately, I wasn’t home and my Passion Moon Potions package sat in my black, metal mailbox for two days of hot weather. One of the products melted a little bit :( I put it in the refrigerator and tried to stir it up to fix it.  The product that melted had been sealed up with plastic. The labels are cute. The labels on each product have color and they look like they are pictures of the ocean, trees, etc.

Each label includes the product’s name, scent, use/description, and ingredients. Most companies don’t list a little description on the products, so I really liked that. For example, the Whipped Shea Creme says “A thirst quenching dessert for the skin” on the front and on the back of the label it says “This shea butter has been whipped for many hours. Resulting in a light and fluffy whipped cream for softening  and quenching dry skin.” This is a nice detail that companies don’t have to do.

PRODUCTS & PRICES:

I did receive these products for free from the lovely Francesca, Passion Moon Potions owner. However, I am NOT getting paid for this review and all opinions expressed in this review are honest. These are actually the first products I have ever received for free.

The products I received are as follows: Raspberry Plum Lip Tint, Whipped Shea Creme in Yuzu and Honey, and Kukui Nut Body Cream.

The lip tint, didn’t melt. It has a nice smell and is definitely a lip tint. With one swipe across my lips there was definitely color and it lasted quite awhile. I wouldn’t say this is very moisturizing, but it’s called a lip tint, not a lip balm.

The Whipped Shea Creme didn’t really melt either. It’s moisturizing and my skin absorbs it quickly. Creams with shea butter are nice.

The Kukui Nut Body Cream in Coconut Mocha is the one that melted. I think the wax in it may be what melted, because it was only a little bit that melted, not the entire product. After I took this out of the refrigerator and stirred it, it seemed okay. This cream doesn’t have shea butter, like the other one, but it was still nice. My arm wasn’t really greasy or anything after using this. I’m not sure how accurate of a review I can do on this exact product since mine did melt. I can’t be sure if it changed the consistency of the product or not since it’s my first time using it. I don’t think this product melts easily, it is my fault that it sat in a metal mailbox for 2 days during 90 degree weather. Kukui is a nut that grows wild on the Hawaiian islands and I like that the oil is used in this product, it makes it different from a lot of other bath and body products found on Etsy. In fact, I don’t know any other companies that use ingredients from Hawaii.

SCENTS:

The Raspberry Plum Lip Tint has beeswax in it and I can kind of smell that, but it does also have a berry scent.

Yuzu and Honey is a unique scent. Yuzu is a Japanese grapefruit. My Shea creme in this scent smells sweet and a little fruity. It’s kind of like a bakery scent, but not overpowering. This isn’t a scent I would think to try, but I actually do like it.

Coconut Mocha smells so good! As I mentioned in my last bath and body review, I don’t typically like chocolate or coconut scents, but this is definitely an exception. I would definitely order a product in this scent in the future.

I really love the the scents from Passion Moon Potions. A lot of bath and body companies all have the same scents, but these scents are unique and tropical smelling.

CO. INFO:

You can purchase from Passion Moon Potions on Etsy. I look forward to placing an order with them in the future.
