I’m kind of late on this post. I’ve had these for awhile and I know a lot of other bloggers reviewed them, but oh well.

First of all, I like Physicians Formula products. Their loose mineral powder is my favorite, I’ve been using it for years. I switch to other powders for awhile, but always end up going back to PF. So, when I saw these eye-catching PF products I had to try them.

The Happy Booster Powder and Blush are supposed to…. (can you guess by the name?) boost your mood. They are also supposed to make you glow. I purchased the powder in the shade, Beige and the blush in Rose. They definitely give you a glow because they contain some shimmer. If you hate makeup with shimmer, then these aren’t for you. The shimmer isn’t overpowering, you won’t look like you dumped glitter all over your face. It’s just enough shimmer to give you an extra glow.

I love the packing of these. It’s pink, so I automatically loved it. They are also compacts. You not only get the powder or blush, but they open up to have a mirror and brush. The brush is pink and red, also very cute! The product itself looks like hearts. Hearts in different sizes and colors. No other makeup is this adorable.

According to the Physicians Formula website, the powder and blush are both “infused with our Happy Boost Blend, featuring Happy Skin and Euphoryl, natural plant extracts which have been shown to promote a feeling of happiness by mimicking the effect of Endorphins and helping protect the skin from environmental stress. The sweet scent of Violet provides a feeling of joy each time you apply.”

So, do these really work? Well, they have a light and yummy scent! I’ve never had any makeup that I actually enjoyed the smell of. Typically cosmetics are scentless or smell like nothing that great. Both the Happy Booster powder and the blush smell so good. Plus, just look at them, they are shimmery hearts! I’m not sure about the plant extracts and the effect on Endorphins, but I think between the pink, shimmer, hearts, and smell, these products do make you smile!

When using the powder(swatch below), I use the brush that comes with it since the shade I have doesn’t have that much color. The brush works well and the powder just gives me a nice glow without changing the color of my face.

However, when using the blush(swatch below), I personally like to use a big round fluffy brush that blends better. The blush is pink and the brush it comes with creates too much a line on my cheek. I do LOVE this blush though! I use the blush more often than the powder.

These are for sale at CVS, Target, Ulta or anywhere that sells Physicians Formula products. The powder comes in four different shades and sells for $13.95. The blush only comes in two colors and is $11.95. I got these awhile ago when CVS was offering $6 off. These may seem a little pricey, but other cosmetics companies sell blush for $24 and up and they don’t look as cute or smell as great.
