Skin-a-licious Party Bag

Back in August, I received a free gift with purchase from Skin-a-licious. This is my review of the samples and products I got in my "party bag."

The owner of Skin-a-licious had a Birthday sale for her b-day back in August. I love her soaps and took advantage of the sale.

This is just a review/haul of the items I received in my free party bag! I didn’t want the review of the items I bought to be ridiculously long, but I wanted to review these items as well. A review on all the items I purchased can be found here.

This Party Bag was a free gift with purchase was a really awesome thing for her to give out for her birthday. Here’s what it looked like.

Inside the cute little tin container were the following three items…

Lip Smacker in Funky Monkey. I like the scent of this better than the Funky Monkey soap. This lip balm is also nice because it has SPF 15. This isn’t the most moisturizing lip balm ever, but I do like it because it’s not waxy. It does not contain beeswax like most other indie lip balms. I’m not sure if I’ll order more of these, but I’ll use this one.

The following cute little heart is actually a solid shampoo sample. It came wrapped in gold foil and looked like a candy. I think this was also in the Funky Monkey scent, but I’m not positive. It smells really really good. I actually love the scent and it if it is Funky Monkey than it smells better than the soap does, in my opinion. I had never used a solid shampoo before and I was pleasantly surprised. This heart was small and lasted surprisingly long, so I’m sure a full-sized one would last awhile. This was easy to use and left my hair feeling clean. This solid shampoo along with the Skin-a-licious solid conditioner are definitely a good combination for dry hair.

The last item in the tin was a tart sample. Yes, Skin-a-licious will now be offering tarts or scent shots. I did burn mine and it was nice. This was also in the scent Funky Monkey. It smelled good and had decent throw. I burned this tart for hours and hours. I even ended up buying one in another scent.

In my Party Bag I also received these cute lollipop soaps. They’re just too cute so I haven’t used them.

I was excited to receive this next item. It’s an individual bear scrub. You can purchase a whole set of these. They look like gummi bears, how cute?! Each bear is enough for one to two uses. I was excited to try this, but was disappointed. I felt like this scrub was a little too harsh. If you have super sensitive skin I would think this would be too scratchy. It definitely exfoliates, so I guess it depends on your personal scrub preference. I like ones that exfoliate without being too harsh.

The last item in my Skin-a-licious party bag was a soap sample. It was a large sample though, at least two or three times the size of the ones you usually get with an order. I haven’t used this sample yet, but I already know that I like Skin-a-licious soaps. This sample is in the scent Pineapple Crush. I’m not a big fan of pineapple, but this scent is pretty good.
