Sugarpill ChromaLust in Absinthe

I purchased from Sugarpill before I even had this blog and I adore their products. I have quite a few of their eye shadows, both pressed and loose. Since each color is so amazing, I’ve been reviewing them individually. Be sure to check out my review on Goldilux, it’s my favorite Sugarpill color. One of my other favorite Sugarpill ChromaLust’s is the color Absinthe!

First of all, Sugarpill has the best packaging! The box you receive in your mailbox has the cute Sugarpill logo right on it.

Inside will be pink tissue paper and a free sticker. Each product even has it’s own box that lists the ingredients. Most indie cosmetics companies do not put their eyeshadows in individual boxes.

Absinthe is a gorgeous green and it’s even Vegan. I love this color! Everyone has green eyeshadows, but none are as pretty as this one.

Sorry it’s not the best photo, but above I swatched Absinthe dry and wet. Below Absinthe I did quick swatches of green eyeshadows I have from other indie companies. Most aren’t as pigmented as Absinthe. The two I have from Virus Insanity have yellow tones to them. The closest dupe I have found for Absinthe is Glamour Doll Eye’s FrankenGlamour.

Absinthe is my favorite “bright color” from Sugarpill. My other favorites are Golidlux and Lumi. I highly recommend Absinthe. Green eyeshadow like this looks great with a lot of other eyeshadow colors, especially blue and purple. The following picture, is my go-to Absinthe look. It’s simple, only takes me a few minutes and uses all Sugarpill colors.

Sugarpill ChromaLusts cost $12, but you get 5 grams of actual product. Many other indie companies charge $5 or $6 for a 5 gram jar, which actually only holds maybe 1 or 2 grams of product. The Sugarpill logo on the jars is printed on, not a sticker that will fall off. The shipping is fast and the customer service is great.

A jar of Sugarpill will last you a long time! If it’s too much product or too pricey, you can split the cost with a friend or two. I know of quite a few people that purchase ChromaLusts with friends and divide the pigments and put them in smaller jars.
