Sugarpill ChromaLust in Goldilux

SugarpillGoldilux

Sugarpill is an indie cosmetic company with some amazing eyeshadows. They are known for their highly pigmented colors. This is a review on not only my favorite Sugarpill eyeshadow, but my absolute favorite eyeshadow ever! (so far.)

If you’ve never heard of Sugarpill, you are missing out. Their products, packaging, website, and customer service are all awesome. Out of all my eyeshadows, my favorite is from Sugarpill. This company is known for their bright colors, but my favorite is actually a color called Goldilux, which you can probably guess is gold.

Now I’m the kind of girl that doesn’t buy or wear any gold jewelry. I hate gold, but when I saw this loose eyeshadow I knew I had to get it. I don’t like to wear bright eyeshadow everyday, but so many neutral eyeshadows are too dull. Goldilux is the perfect fix for this problem. It’s shimmery and bold without being so bright and colorful. I LOVE GOLDILUX!!

Sugarpill eyeshadows come in cute boxes and the logo on the jar isn’t a sticker, it’s printed on the lid! Each jar and box list all the ingredients. The different Sugarpill eyeshadows also have little symbols on them. Goldilux has a bow and I love bows! As you can see the the picture below, this eyeshadow is also Vegan.

This color is so amazing, you can tell as soon as you take the lid off the jar. The shimmer is almost unbelievable, and that’s how all the Sugarpill ChromaLusts are. Golidlux is like a little pot of gold!

The following picture shows Goldilux swatched three different ways.

If you buy this and use it wet or with a foiling medium you will understand the magic of this color. It looks like pure melted gold. I use a foiling medium from My Beauty Addiction.

All Sugarpill eyeshadows, pressed and loose, cost $12. This may seem expensive, but if you compare it to other  makeup companies, it’s actually a good deal. Many companies charge $5 or $6 for smaller jars that contain only a fraction of the product that a jar of Sugarpill holds. In the following photo, Sugarpill is on the left.

Even MAC charges $19.50 for a 4.5 gram pigment. So $12 for 5 grams isn’t bad, especially when it’s high quality.

To learn more about Sugarpill and all their other amazing products check out their website www.sugarpillshop.com. Also, be sure to ‘Like’ Sugarpill on Facebook. Fans post a bunch of photos of their looks and the owner of Sugarpill, Amy, is great at responding to comments and questions.

I don’t have ALL the Sugarpill colors, but I do have some other pressed and loose eyeshadows, plus some samples, so let me know if you want to see reviews on any other specific colors. :)
