Are you passionate about being healthy and being green? So, is Cheri, the founder of Super Body Care. The company was founded in 2004 and prides themselves on making products safe and as natural as possible. Most of their products are sulfate and paraben free, Super Body Care is “the green alternative to antibacterials.”

A few months ago, Joan from Super Body Care reached out to me, I had never heard of the company before, but after looking at their website I was excited to try out their products. So, here are my thoughts on the products that I’ve tried.

First, I’ll discuss the 1 oz. Travel Kit, a little plastic zipper bag that contains 4 products.(As seen in photo above.)

The first thing from the Travel Kit that I tried was the soap bar with loofah bits. The active ingredients in the soap are Peppermint, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Lavender and Bergamot. You’ll see that these essential plant oils are the active ingredients in all the Super Body Care products, giving them all pretty much the same scent. The soap also has bits of ground-up sea sponge in it which makes it exfoliating. You can see the little bits in the photo below:

This isn’t your typical loofah soap, you really can’t even tell it’s loofah bits, it just feels like exfoliating beads. I like this soap. It’ smells minty, refreshes, and cleans. It’s not super slippery and doesn’t leave you feeling like you’re covered in soapy residue.

The next item in the Traveling Kit is the Walnut Scrub. This scrub is shower gel mixed with ground-up walnut shells. That may sound weird, but it’s really not. It looks like a brown scrub with exfoliating bits in it. This is a nice scrub, not too scratchy. It has a nice lather because of the shower gel in it. This too has the minty smell.

The Shower Gel in this Kit is the company’s greenest product, it is biodegradable. It’s actually a multi-use product that can be used as shower gel, hand soap, and shampoo. It’s not recommended for color-treated hair so I personally can’t tell you how well it works as a shampoo. It has nice lather and leaves you feeling tingly and clean. I thought the shower gel had a stronger mint smell than the other products.

The last item in the Travel Kit is body lotion. It is paraben free and has the same essential plants oil as the other items as well as organic aloe vera. This lotion is nice. It is not greasy and soaks into skin nicely. It’s moisturizing and has a cool, tingly feel because of the peppermint.

You can purchase this Travel Kit for $7.95, which I think is a great deal. It could make the perfect gift for that person on your list that is hard to shop for. These items are nice for men, women, and athletes of all ages. You can also get one of these kits for you and your family if you will be traveling over the holiday season or any time of year. Super Body Care has a few other kits available.

Super Body Care also sent me some items that are not included in the Travel Kit.

This 2 oz. Body Spray sells for $6.95. It has the same great scent, so after you shower with the soap, scrub, or shower gel you can use this spray. You can also use it throughout the day when you need to be refreshed. It contains only 40% alcohol and doesn’t even have that alcohol smell that many sprays have when you first spray them.

I really like Super Body Care’s lip balm. It’s one of my favorite lip balms. I love how minty things make your lips tingle, that is what this lip balm does. It’s not a burning tingle like some lip plumping products cause, it’s just a cool, slight tingle. This is a great lip balm for anyone in the family that gets dry lips. Even a man can use this and not be embarrassed because it’s not pink or girly looking. This products costs $3.95.

The last item is something I had never tried before, deodorizer. They are little sticks/packets that you crush and they deodorize areas. I’d say they are about an inch and a half long. In the photo above the top one has not been used, the bottom one has been activated with a crush. You can see that it looks a little damp.

So what’s the point of these? You can put them in your gym bag, locker, car, vacuum, shoes, drawers, etc. They are supposed to deodorize for up to 2 weeks. I think these are perfect for athletes and people that exercise a lot because gym bags and lockers can definitely get stinky. Buy these for yourself, your spouse, or your high school athlete. Their teammates will be jealous when they stink and your kid smells minty fresh. I also love the idea of putting them in your vacuum bag! Be sure to follow the instructions and read the safety warnings. You can purchase 20 of these packets for $24.95.

My Overall Thoughts:

I really like Super Body Care’s packaging it’s very clean and professional looking. It’s not cheap or homemade, it looks like the packaging of a large corporation. Everything has a cohesive look. My only problem was the labels aren’t completely waterproof. The labels on my shower gel and scrub did peel and get a little messed up after being in the shower.

All the products have the same minty scent, so they can all be used together and you won’t smell like a bad combination of fragrances. The scent is a unisex scent, so both men and women can use it. I like that these products are for the whole family. Parents, athletes, teenagers, kids, everyone can use them as long as they like the clean, fresh scent.

My favorite products are the soap, scrub, and lip balm. I believe the loofah soap and walnut scrub are the company’s best selling products, so I’d definitely recommend trying them out. They also sell Body Wipes and all the products are made in California, USA.

I look forward to seeing what products Super Body Care comes up with in the future to expand their current line.
