Tarte LipSurgence Review

Another pink review! This review includes swatches of Tarte's LipSurgence Natural Lip Luster in the color Adored. This is a unique lip product, but a little pricey. So, check out my review and decide if it's the right product for you before you buy.

Back in July, I went to Sephora on my birthday to get my free b-day gift with purchase. I didn’t know what to purchase, but after walking around for awhile I decided on a Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Luster.

I really love the packaging. This product comes in a little box, but every side of the box it utilized to give important information.

As you can see from the box this product is cruelty free and made without parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, and other unnecessary/harmful ingredients. This product also does not require a sharpener.

LipSurgence looks like a jumbo crayon and the tube is even shimmery! By the looks of this you would think it went on dry, kind of like a liner or lipstick, but it doesn’t. LipSurgence Natural Lip Luster goes on so smooth and glossy! I’m a lip gloss kind of girl and I love this product! When it’s on your lips it looks like you applied lipgloss, however it’s not super wet or sticky. So, if you like the lip gloss look, but hate the stickiness of it, this is a product you will want to check out.

This product also has a slight peppermint flavor. It’s very subtle and nice. The LipSurgence Natural Lip Luster comes in about 6 different shades. I bought Adored, a pretty pink. This lip product is SUPER shimmery. The following photo is a swatch of Adored taken WITH a flash.

And this photo of the color Adored was taken WITHOUT flash. Look at all the sparkly goodness in both photos!

The shimmer really lasts too. After I did these swatches and washed the LipSurgence off, my hand still looked glittery. The Natural Lip Lusters come in 6 colors and are shimmery. If you don’t want a shimmery LipSurgence there are also Natural Lip Tints and Natural Matte Lip Tints in various colors. They are all $24.

As I previously mentioned, you don’t have to sharpen it. All you have to do is twist the bottom for more product. I wanted to demonstrate how you can twist it, but didn’t want to break mine, so I only twisted it a little bit. There is much more product inside the tube in my photo below.

I really like this lip product. If I had more money I would own a lot more LipSurgence, the only major downside is that each one costs $24. Right now Sephora has a great value set of Tarte LipSurgence products. It’s called the Tarte Lip Service Limited-EditionLip Surgence Collection.

You get the 6 products pictured. Three LipSurgence Natural Lip Lusters and two LipSurgence Natural Lip Tints. It’s a $120 value for only $29! You can purchase this from Sephora.
