The Limited- Denim Shorts & Crops

Looking for summer denim that isn't too revealing? Here are three great options that I found at The Limited.

I absolutely love spring and summer, but every year when the warm weather rolls around I dread trying to find shorts, skirts, and capris. I’m in my early Twenties, but stores like Express, American Eagle, etc. all carry shorts that are very short. I’m a mom, I’m around family a lot during the summer, I don’t want to be seen in booty shorts!

This year I started my search early and got lucky at the Limited. Lately, The Limited is the only place I’ve been able to find comfortable, cute, and simple skinny jeans too. I don’t like jeans with designs, sequins, etc. on them. At this point I should also mention that half of my clothing and scarves are from The Limited. (Maybe half my jewelry too.)

Anyways, onto my review. The first item is Drew Cargo Shorts. If you’re not familiar with The Limited, their pants come in different styles. In jeans the styles are 312, 678, and 917. In other pants, they are Drew and Cassidy. Drew is a lower rise and for straighter figures. Cassidy is for women with curves. I’m typically Drew, but I do actually own a pair of black Cassidy dress pants that I love. If you only like Cassidy then you may not like the Drew Cargo shorts, but this is simply my opinion of them.

These Drew Cargo Shorts are comfortable and an appropriate length. They are so cute and come with a belt that you can tie into a bow. This belt is the same denim material as the shorts and can be removed so that you can wear whatever belt you want. I also like that these shorts have buttons. I have some old shorts from The Limited that have a tab closure and I don’t like them. The best part about these shorts is the material. It’s not a thick denim. It’s thin and almost has a sheen. This unique look makes it possible to dress them up for a date night or you can wear them casually. They sell for $49.90.

The next item is the 678 Slim Boyfriend Crop Jean. These have that loose boyfriend fit, a light wash, and ripped fabric. I’m not normally into the ripped jeans look, but these have minimal rips. They also have a rolled cuff. These capris are cute for a casual day. I wear them when running errands. With the boyfriend fit, you would expect these to be loose and they do run BIG. I definitely recommend going down a size in them. They sell for $69.90

Probably my favorite item in this post is my next one, 312 Denim Crop. These are a dark wash (but not too dark) and look great with everything. They are comfortable, however I recommend going UP a size in these. I’m normally a size 0, but after trying them on, purchased a size 2. If you don’t go up a size, these will be tight and not comfortable. I’m only about 5’3″ and I found the hem on these to be a little long so I cuff them whenever I wear them. In the picture below, one leg is how they come and the other is how I wear them. The 312 Denim Crops are my new favorite capris and during the summer they will be taking the place of my favorite skinny jeans.
