Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint

Urban Decay Cheek Tint in Quickie

This Glide-On Cheek Tint isn't your typical blush, but does that make it better? Before you spend over $20 on this blush read my thoughts and recommendations for this product from Urban Decay Cosmetics.

I’ve only ever used pressed powder blushes, so when I saw Urban Decay’s Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tints in Ulta one day, they caught my attention. They are creamy glide-on blushes. I ended up purchasing one in the shade Quickie a couple months ago.

These have cute purple packaging. Like the UD eyeshadows these too are lightweight, yet sturdy.

This blush is like a compact and has a mirror. I love when cosmetics products come with mirrors!

I like pink blush so I purchased the color Quickie which is a hot pink. I do like the color and I like the texture of this blush. It feels soft and moist. I just don’t think it blends perfectly over the mineral powder I use to finish or set my makeup. At $24 I don’t think this is a blush I will be trying in other colors.

If you are like me and use mineral foundation or powder, you would probably like that same type of blush as well. You can also find blushes that are much cheaper than this one from Urban Decay. E.l.f. makes nice blushes which only cost $1-$3.

If you don’t wear much makeup and prefer to just wear blush and mascara then this would probably be a good product for you. It glides onto skin easily and is buildable depending on the look you are going for. Plus, if you don’t wear a lot of makeup then splurging on a $24 blush is probably fine, because you don’t buy a ton of other cosmetics.

The picture below shows how this blush is buildable. Both swatches are the same color, Quickie. The swatch on the right shows how the Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint can be pretty sheer and on the left you can see that it is buildable for a brighter/bolder look. This blush is different, it’s not your typical pressed powder. Yet it is still buildable. However, it’s a little pricey at $24. Every day I find myself reaching for either my Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten or Physician’s Formula Happy Booster blush over my Urban Decary Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint.

Urban Decay makes this in about 7 different colors and can be purchased from Ulta, Sephora, or Urban Decay.
