Yes, I bought another Naked product from Urban Decay. Can you really blame me?

Naked Illuminated Box

Unlike the rest of the Naked product line, Naked Illuminated isn’t only for faces. It is also important to note that  Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body is only available through Urban Decay and Ulta, not Sephora.

Naked Illuminated

You can dust this powder anywhere on your body for an instant Naked glow. Even the box is shimmering and pretty!

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated

Urban Decay’s product description states “this smooth, silky powder contains a sophisticated, microfine shimmer and light-reflecting particles that give skin a luminous, radiant look.”

Illuminated

This powder is very shimmery, but it is very fine. Illuminated does not contain large chunks of cheap glitter. It is apparently baked for 24 hours then hand-finished, which may explain it’s $29 price tag.

Illuminated Swatch

You can apply this lightly to your face/cheekbones as a highlighter. You can also dust this more heavily across your collarbone and décolletage for a night out when you’re wearing a strapless dress. Ooh la la!

Illuminated Brush

Naked Illuminated’s pretty box also contains a compartment with a brush. I find this brush works well for light application.

Overall Thoughts: I certainly don’t think this is a product for everyone. It’s not an everyday powder and it is fairly expensive. Personally, I do like Naked Illuminated though. It is definitely a splurge buy, but it will last me a long time which means I don’t see having to repurchase. I’m all about highlighters and love anything that will give me a shimmery glow. (I often wear shimmery blushes.) Naked Illuminated is absolutely beautiful, but not a must-have.
