I spent way too much money on clothes from Victoria’s Secret the last couple months so when I had a Secret Reward and an Angel credit card reward, I wanted to use them on something that wouldn’t leave me paying  much of a balance. Yes, getting $20 off a $50 bra would be a good deal, but I didn’t need to give them $30 more dollars nor do I need another bra.

So…I decided on an adorable Deluxe Eye Palette. It costs $26, but thanks to my rewards it only cost me $6!

There are two of these palettes. One is red and one is pink. The five eyeshadows in them are also different. The pink palette that I bought is called “Slow Seduction.”

The palette looks just like the box. I love the hot pink, lace, and bow!

On the bottom of the palette there are instructions for a “Get the Look.”

Inside the palette there are 5 neutral eyeshadows, a double-ended brush, and the whole lid is a mirror.

Here are swatches of the eye shadows, I did them in order. (Click image to view larger.)

The first color you can barely see in the photo. It’s pale and not very pigmented, it’s probably meant to be as a highlight. The middle three colors are nice. They are different shimmery gold colors and have decent pigmentation. The fifth color is a sparkly black. The other colors are shimmery, while this color has sparkles in it. This definitely isn’t the most pigmented black.

These eyeshadows are nice, I still prefer my loose pigments from indie companies. However, this is a decent neutral palette. This would make a good gift for someone just getting into makeup.

The palette itself is pretty sturdy. I dropped mine on a tile floor and it didn’t break. Three of the shadows popped out, but didn’t break and I was able to pop them back in. I actually dropped it before I took these photos.

You can purchase this Limited-edition Holiday Collection Palette or the similar red one at your local Victoria’s Secret store or online. However, I personally think it looks like the eyeshadow colors are reversed online. I didn’t get the red palette because the colors weren’t as neutral and there was a dark blue shadow, I don’t like blue on me. Online the red looks like the neutral colors and the pink palette looks like the one with the blue color. The colors in my pink palette match the ones shown on its box. (As you can see in my first photo.) Online they also don’t show the names of the palettes.

I recently bought the Slow Seduction Palette as well. I got it 50% off at one of their sales where they clearance the heck out of everything. I actually quite like it. And I noticed as well that they are reversed online because I was going to buy it online as well.
