When I first heard about Virus Insanity Eyeshadow I thought the colors were great and I heard a lot of good things, but I was hesitant to order because I had never used Facebook to buy something before. For that reason, it took me awhile until I finally gave in and made a purchase. I’m glad I bought from VIE because the eyeshadows are awesome.

Purchasing through Facebook is a little weird, but you pay through PayPal which is secure. I didn’t have any problems with my order. I ordered on the first of a month, which is probably the busiest time to. The first of every month you can purchase individual colors from custom collections that would otherwise have to be bought as the entire collection. I think it took about 3 weeks from the night I purchased to the day I received my package. Not the fastest, but I understood because I could see on the VIE Facebook wall that a lot of people placed orders the same day as me.

Picking which colors to buy is probably the hardest part because 1. there are sooo many and 2. you have to go through a bunch of Facebook albums and look at swatches. I tried to go through the photos of looks and then use the captions to figure out what the colors I liked were. I believe VIE is working on a website, which will be awesome. Having all the colors on a website will make it a lot easier to go through.

With all that said, Virus Insanity eyeshadows are some of my favorites. All the ones I ordered are  such pretty, shimmery, girly colors.

The following pictures show the packaging. It’s nothing fancy, but there’s nothing wrong with simple packaging.

I didn’t have many blue eyeshadows, so when ordering from VIE I decided to get 4 different blues. I also got a free sample with my purchase, which I forgot to swatch, sorry! The first picture is WITH flash, the second is WITHOUT.

My photos do not do these colors justice, they are so shimmery in person. I love the color Fluffy Pink Whip, it’s so pretty! Ferris Wheel looks like a lighter pink in the jar, but as you can see when you apply it, it’s a bright pink, almost red. I love Cupcake, because I’m obsessed with pinky/orange colors. Smoked Lilac is gorgeous, I have brown eyes so it compliments my eye color. The blues are all pretty, I’m not sure which one I like the best. The greens are so bright, I really like them both. Becca-acca is more of a yellow-green compared to Plaid Is Rad.

I like Fluffy Pink Whip so much and was disappointed with how it looked in my pictures so I tried to take more. (These still don’t do it justice!)

I definitely recommend Virus Insansity Eyeshadow. The eyeshadows are high quality and they are decent prices. If you buy one eyeshadow it’s $5. The better deals are 6 for $20 or 10 for $30. Also, make sure you ‘Like’ the VIE Facebook page so you can find out about different promotions such as free shipping.
