UPDATE: New review of Dirty Secret here.

Since it is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I wanted to review Tigi’s Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo. I purchased this for the first time last October and made sure I did again this October. Why do I always buy it in October? Because every year they sell this dry shampoo in a pink breast cancer awareness edition. During this time, Ulta always has it for $7.99, which is a great price.

The breast cancer awareness edition bottle is pink and there is also a sticker on it with the pink breast cancer ribbon. The sticker reads “TIGI CARES. Show your support and think pink! TIGI is donating up to $52,614.24 to support breast cancer research, treatment, and education.”

If you purchase this product throughout the rest of the year, it will cost around $20 and look like this…

I don’t use dry shampoo often enough to spend $20 on it, but it’s definitely worth $8, especially when it comes in my favorite color, pink!

This is definitely a good dry shampoo. I spray it at my roots and it absorbs oil. It also gives hair a fresh smell. I’m not sure how to describe the scent of this product, it’s unique and just fresh.

I like Tigi’s Dirty Secret a lot better than Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo. I found the Tresemme one made my hair look white for awhile after spraying the product. It also left a residue in my hair that made me want to wash it, which kind of defeats the purpose of dry shampoo. The Tresemme Fresh Start collection is also supposed to be a two step process, which means you have to buy two products. The dry shampoo gets rid of oil and a spray gives hair a fresh smell. Dirty Secret dry shampoo does both.

If you’re a busy mom,(or just busy!) but like to keep your hair looking fresh and clean in between washes, try Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo. You can purchase it at your local Ulta or anywhere else that sells Tigi products.
