I’ve been pretty happy with my Birchbox subscription so far this year. Let’s see what I thought of the March box.

The theme for March is Spring Forward. How to improve your Birchbox experience and get more out of products and your daily routines.

Here are the details on what I received.

I wasn’t initially excited to receive Coola Mineral Sunscreen Matte Tint SPF 30 this month because I have received Coola sunscreen in both my May 2013 and August 2013 boxes. However, this version is actually a Natural BB Cream.

I also wasn’t super excited about Keims Cleanshine Energzing Shampoo, but I’ll try it out. I’ve never heard of this brand and am curious about it. This sample is larger than the other shampoo samples I have received from Birchbox in the past.

I’ve recently started a new skincare routine consisting of using only 4 Shiseido products, my Clarisonic, and GlamGlow masks. However, I think I will try out this Michael Todd Tropical Fruit Enzyme Exfoliant Scrub. It smells delicious and this is a pretty big sample size.

The gem of the March Birchbox has to be theBalm’s How ‘Bout Them Apples? Cheek & Lip Cream. TheBalm always has cute “Pin-Up” type packaging and this one features some shirtless men too. Oh la la!

The full-size item is a palette of 6 colors that costs $32. The Birchbox sample is only 1 color each. I received “Pie.” This is such a fun product, I love it! It goes on lips and cheeks smoothly. It’s very light and not greasy or sticky.

The Extra product included for March was Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream. This is an intriguing product. We’re all familiar with BB cream for faces, but this is the first time I’ve heard of one for your body. You use it daily as a body lotion and it’s supposed to visibly improve skin over 5 days. I’m definitely going to use this product and possibly buy the full-size item (with my $2 off Birchbox coupon) to give me fabulous skin for spring and summer!

I’m happy with this box because I’m actually thinking of purchasing the full-size theBalm palette and Jergens BB Body Cream. While I use my Birchbox samples, it’s rare that I purchase the full-size item.
